What does a District Manager – Specialty Stores do?
We are looking for a District Manager – Specialty Stores with a passion for developing employees, providing excellent customer service, a love of mobile technology, and a natural affinity for sales execution that changes the way mobile phones are bought and sold.

The District Manager manages and motivates Store Managers and employees within an area to achieve operating results, growth objectives, and overall financial performance goals while maintaining fiscal responsibility. The District Manager works closely with other retail partners on the development of Store Managers and all BBYM employees, and is accountable for creating a positive and efficient sales environment to deliver on the value proposition that Best Buy Mobile promises.

Key Responsibilities include:
* Directly supervises 10 or more Store Managers; indirectly supervise 100+ employees
* Recruit, develop, and retain qualified managers and associates to meet staffing needs
* Accountable for development of team to include succession planning, leadership coaching and overall skills progression
* Coach store manager to maximize productivity, control inventory, maintain integrity and financial accountability to positively impact profits
* Responsible for budgeting and financial outcomes of 10 or more Best Buy Mobile Stores
* Ensures effective training and accountability around selling strategy; establish, teach, and demonstrate exceptional customer service through training, development and leadership by example
* Manage behaviors supporting performance targets and long term strategic objectives to drive profitable sales within multiple locations
* Responsible for delivery of an exceptional customer and employee experience
* Maintains knowledge of company and market promotional elements; remains current on all wireless products and services, industry and competitive trends, and reinforce findings with the team

We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Engineer with the vision and leadership skills to help lead the growth of our geotechnical, construction materials testing and environmental consulting groups within the office.

District Manager responsibilities include:

* Provide leadership in the development and implementation of strategic plans and strategies ensure our continual growth.
* Develop and maintain strong client relationships and provide key contributions to regional marketing and business development activities.
* Supervise, direct, train and mentor staff and provide leadership in geotechnical. Environmental and construction testing disciplines.
* Manage and lead geotechnical, construction testing and environmental proposal opportunities including identification, strategic planning and overseeing business development and technical capture teams for major building, transportation and civil projects.
* Direct the preparation of technical memos, reports, construction specifications and other written documentation.
* Prepare cost estimates, schedules and work plans for major project opportunities and proposals.

District Manager requirements/skills include:

* Minimum of 5-10 years of strong fundamental knowledge of principles of geotechnical engineering, construction materials testing and environmental engineering.

* BS or MS (preferred) degree in Civil Engineering/Geotechnical Engineering
* Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).
* Possess self-discipline, self-motivation and the ability to work independently with little supervision.

Summary: Responsible for street execution of sales initiatives, the training and development of Sales Representatives as well as executing all sales/promotional programs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (additional responsibilities may be assigned)

Develops, trains and directs sales reps to achieve sales goals, and placement objectives and to ensure company standards are met.

May conduct strategic sales negotiations with key accounts.

Sets up schedules and appointments to obtain new accounts and to service existing accounts.

Surveys market area to detect business trends and opportunities for new products or new applications for existing products.

Ensures execution of team quotas and orders.

Assists in the development of sales forecasts. Plans for sales activities by forecasting conditions, defining objectives and strategies and securing resources.

Controls and manages sales performance by measuring and reporting results, evaluating and correcting performance and administering policies and procedures.

Organizes team by structuring the territories, delegating work, and staffing positions.

Provides leadership in making decisions, developing personnel, communicating with and motivating staff.

Plans and executes sales and promotional activities that effectively counter competitive trends by establishing goals for individual territories, and distribution standards for brands.

Monitors and evaluates the activities and products of competition.

Conducts weekly sales meetings for the purpose of disseminating supplier information, product and sales training and to obtain feedback on the effectiveness, efficiency and relevance of the sales and promotional activities.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Requires a current state driver’s license; ability to meet company vehicle insurance requirements; alcohol Beverage Commission (ABC) License, as required by the state (i.e. TABC License Texas).
