Sr. Business Analyst – Reporting and Analytics

The Business Analyst will assist in analysis, documentation and validation of business processes and systems with user-stakeholders to identify new technology processes and functional enhancements. They will partner in requirements gathering and document business processes and procedures. Business Analysts are accountable for translating requirements into various deliverables such as functional specifications, use cases, workflow/process diagrams, data flow/data model diagrams for key strategic growth initiatives with the Marketing & Supply Chain areas.

This role will be in support of the Reporting and Analytics team. This team is uniquely placed as it supports nearly every initiative of Best Buy through the critical collection and delivery of data through various industry leading technologies.

Key position responsibilities include:
* Executing of business analysis activities including stakeholder analysis, managing project risks and issues, monitor and report on requirements activities, participating or facilitating user acceptance testing through internal and/or external resources.

* Partner in requirements gathering, driving and documenting of stakeholder requirements and product vision through the planning, analysis, development and testing phases.

* Documentation of stakeholder requirements into various documentation deliverables for projects with high complexity. Is able to partner with other BAs or outsourced vendors.

* Knowledge of business systems functionality and interconnectedness. Is able to effectively communicate functionality and requirements needed through various levels of the business and IT.

* Execute test plan and processes for complex products and user acceptance test phases. Creates test scenarios for both phases; participates in user acceptance testing. Debugs data issues between and within systems.

Basic Qualifications:
* 3+ years of experience with increasing responsibilities in one or more of the following areas, with demonstrated progression of responsibilities:

* Business Analyst
* Business Process Re-engineering
* Project Management
* Product Design
* System Development, Test Design and Execution

Preferred Qualifications:
* BS/BA in related field or equivalent work experience
* Experience with various reporting and data warehousing technologies (MSBI, Teradata, Business Objects, Tableau, COGNOS, etc.)
* Experience with various software development methodologies (iterative, agile, waterfall, etc.)
* Experience working with third party systems integrators and developers onshore and offshore
* Excellent verbal and written skills
* Large group presentation experience

Manager, Program Management – E-Commerce

Position Summary:
The E-Commerce Category Management Operations (ECMOPS) team is responsible for ensuring proper end-to-end operational processes and efficiencies from site merchandising and incident management through program management and communication, including training to drive the desired business outcomes in support of E-Commerce Category Management and Digital Content teams.

The Program Management function within the ECMOPS team provides support for assigned cross-functional E-Commerce/Digital Content projects, including overall Holiday support. The goal is to deliver high quality, sustainable operational program services that improve our employee and customer experiences. Our team has two primary responsibilities:
* Lead program management activities for the planning and execution of Holiday for E-Commerce.
* Lead Day 2 Operations efforts for assigned projects, identifying and addressing the operational needs that must be in place to support new features, tools or capabilities once deployed (e.g. process development, training and communication needs, role clarity, etc.).

The „Manager, Program Management” will play a key role in coordinating and leading cross-functional project initiatives and activities in support of E-Commerce goals and priorities. This role will be responsible for establishing a program structure for workstreams associated with E-Commerce Category Management and Digital Content strategic priorities. This role will manage the work direction and deliverables for teams with 5-30 employees and must possess strong organizational agility in mitigating risks. The incumbent will need the ability to synthesize multiple sources of information from Leaders and team members to ensure project milestones are met and day 2 operational impacts are understood. Advanced communication skills are required to inform Senior Leaders and key stakeholders of progress against objectives. The incumbent must be able to lead a team while influencing without authority.

Program / Project Management
* Lead assigned projects primarily impacting E-Commerce Category Management and Digital Content teams; project team size is typically 5-30 cross-functional people.
* Collaborate with Managers, Directors and Officers to ensure resources are available to support program milestones and timelines.
* Facilitate meetings with business and technical teams, with the potential to collaborate with 3rd party vendors as well.
* Proactively identify risks and dependencies across assigned projects to ensure strategic objectives are accomplished.
* Produce presentations and establish communication vehicles with key stakeholders and executive sponsors.
* Serve as a leader and change agent, advocating Best Buys strategic E-Commerce objectives.
* Provide work direction in translating business requirements into actionable and achievable project plans.

Capability Development
* Proactively identify opportunities to streamline / automate processes as a function of project planning and scope design.
* Lead and manage project and process re-engineering efforts from idea to implementation.
* Partner with leaders to identify opportunities for process improvement, training, role clarity and defect elimination.
* Build and leverage a network of subject matter experts to increase ROI across managed workstreams.
* Lead needs assessments to identify day 2 operational impacts of new feature deployments; develop and implement plans to address gaps.
* Facilitate requirements gathering sessions as necessary.

Communication

Required Qualifications:
* Bachelors degree in Marketing, Business, Logistics / Operations, Computer Science or related
* 5 years in operations, retail, e-commerce, analytics, or related business area
* 5 years of project management experience
* 4 years of direct or indirect resource leadership across cross-functional teams
* 3 years of solving complex problems and process streamlining/re-engineering
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
* Intermediate understanding of the business, and how strategies and tactics drive financial performance
* Advanced communication skills
* Advanced organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications:
* Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or higher
* PMP certification
