General Responsibility:

This position performs a wide variety of machine repairs and will operate various machines in the Wire dept. e.g., OMCG, Clip Press, and Wire Cutter.
Other duties as assigned.

Job Responsibilities:

* Performs all maintenance on machines and operates as machine operator
* Preventative maintenance on machines
* Mechanically inclined with some mechanical experience
* Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

* Proficient in statistical math skills (fractions, decimals, and percentages) and relationship to part dimensioning
* Must be able to work overtime on short notice if necessary
* Attained at least a meets standards on most recent performance evaluation
* Must have good communication skills
* Must have good problem solving skills

* Pass background check and drug screen (if an external candidate)
* Pass applicable WorkKeys and WorkSteps Physical testing
* Ability to work in the United States
* Basic verbal and written understanding of the English language

Position Overview

This is a skilled position involving the safe and efficient operation of various types of construction equipment including but not limited to Loaders, Back Hoes, Track Hoes, Haul Trucks, Water Trucks, Etc.

Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)

* Operate equipment safely and efficiently.
* Responsible for safe slopes on excavations and proper barricading.
* Locate utilities and other buried lines prior to digging.
* Perform minor servicing and maintenance or refer major problems to the supervisor.
* Knowledge of trenching and shoring standards.
* Keep time and material records.
* Knowledge of aggregate sizes and classifications.
* Knowledge of weight requirements of loads leaving the pit.
* Travel from interstate highway to rural dirt roads from various locations.
* May assist Laborer at various job sites as needed.
May perform physical tasks involved with laying pipe and utility lines, and/or tasks involved with road construction and laying asphalt, etc.

Education/Experience
* High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is preferred.

Work Requirements
* Previous heavy equipment operation experience or training is highly preferred.

Ability to write simple correspondence.
* Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

* Valid Drivers License is preferred

Minimum of one year experience in retail or customer service environment

EDUCATION:

Minimum requirement of a High School Diploma or GED

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

* Foster a positive working relationship with store management and employees
* Prepare for all store calls by reviewing instructions ahead of time and bringing required materials to each service call
* Capable of completing projects typically consisting of resets, cut-ins, stocking product, installing promotional materials, display assembly, perform audits and various other service-related activities
* Promote client’s product including ordering client product as applicable
* Ensure compliance and objectives are completed per client and management expectations
* Utilize smartphone or mobile device to report all work accurately while in the store and submit service order data and photos on the date service was completed
* Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
* Ability to express ideas clearly in both written and oral formats
* Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
* Must be able to adhere to a work schedule that may include week days, evenings and weekends
* Dress code of khaki slacks, polo or collared shirt, matching belt, and closed toe shoes
* Must have a tablet or smartphone with photo capability, home computer, printer, and internet access
* Capable of delivering all required materials and paperwork to store visits as necessary
* As part of our standard of excellence, background checks are required and some projects also require a drug test
* Reliable transportation to get to and from assignments
